Father Matthew Kuna
Reverend Matthew J. Kuna ’16 is a proud alumnus of Kutztown University, and is honored to serve as Chaplain of the Saint Christopher Catholic Newman Center and as Chaplain of Berks Catholic High School.
Father Kuna is a son of Anne and the late Mark Kuna, and has two younger brothers, Ryan and Scott. Originally from Allentown, he is a graduate of Saint Thomas More School, Allentown and Bethlehem Catholic High School. He received a Bachelor of Science in Education from Kutztown University, concentrating in Spanish and English as a Second Language. As an undergraduate student, he served on the Saint Christopher Catholic Newman Council and began to seriously discern a priestly vocation.
After graduating from KU, Father Kuna began priestly formation at Saint Charles Borromeo Seminary, where he received a Master of Divinity and Master of Arts in Systematic Theology. On June 4, 2022, Father Kuna was ordained a priest of the Diocese of Allentown by Bishop Alfred Schlert at the Cathedral of Saint Catharine of Siena. From 2022-2024, he served as Parochial Vicar of Saint Catharine of Siena Parish, Reading and as Chaplain of Berks Catholic High School. Most recently, he served as Parochial Vicar of Saint Ignatius Loyola Parish, Sinking Spring (while remaining at Berks Catholic).
Professor Thiep Pham, Advisor

Prof. Pham is an Assistant Professor of Computer Science and Information Technology at Kutztown University of Pennsylvania. He has taught Computer Science and Information Technology for over six years, including courses in Game Development and Information Security. Prof. Pham is currently the advisor/co-advisor for the Kutztown University Esports Club, the International Game Developers Association (IGDA) Kutztown University chapter, and the Newman Council.
Lisa Grabowski, Ed.D.,
Center Director
Lisa Grabowski is the Center Director for the Saint Christopher Catholic Newman Center. and is responsible for promoting the enrichment of spiritual lives of the Catholic population at Kutztown University. She oversees daily operations at the Center and works with Father Kuna to develop student programming and other events.
Lisa is an alumna of KU (‘07) and worked at the University for 24 years, most recently as Director of New Student Orientation. While employed at KU, she served as an advisor of the Newman Council along with several other student organizations. She is a parishioner of Saint Mary’s Church, Kutztown, PA.
